We see June sitting on a sofa, glancing down sadly. Her voiceover on the frame says, "I spent that evening thinking about it. I do want to raise a family one day... Would pursuing my own career interfere with that?" Then we see a closeup of her face looking up as her voiceover continues, "On the other hand, was going into nursing giving into a stereotype? Should I choose something more ambitious? Was I just looking for an easy way out...?" We see a closeup of June's hands clasped together. Then we see another closeup of her face, focusing on her eye that suddenly opens wide as her voiceover says, "Just then, I remembered something one of the residents we visited had said..." A flashback shows the old mare she had visited with earlier, sitting in a chair and smiling as she says, "Thank you for spending so much time with me. It sure brightened my day. You make me feel loved." Finally, we see a closeup of June's face smiling as her voiceover says, "Of all the reasons I wanted to try being a CNA, that's the one that mattered most."
