Chris stands and stretches his arms while Kraal says, "I'm trying to figure out how to finish my exams this weekend, but..." Chris looks at him quizzically and says, "Wait, by saturday? Dude, that's only two days!" Kraal glares down at his phone and says, "It'd be three if the testing center were open Sundays. But maybe I can use that day to study for Diff E.Q." while Chris stares at him mutely. Then Chris fiddles with his fingers and smiles and asks, "Well... since it's our last week together before break, think you'd have time for a game or something?" Kraal looks down and sighs and says, "We'll see, Chris. I really want to. It just depends on how things work out." Chris smiles and walks out of the room saying, "Okay, I'll check later then. Good luck with everything." Kraal looks at his tablet again unhappily and says, "Thanks," then thinks to himself, "I'm going to need it."

Kraal doesn’t normally believe in “luck”, unless he’s talking about Statistics class.

Behind the Scenes

I’ve heard it said that when it comes to content creation, first you get good, then you get fast, then you get good and fast. Or was it fast then good…? Well anyway, the point is, being able to create something that’s good quality and being able to consistently produce something on a deadline are two separate skills. I can definitely see how my artistic abilities have improved over the years. My ability to consistently hit an upload deadline however has fluctuated. Much of this is to be expected as life circumstances change. Still, being able to plan for life’s unexpected twists and turns and to keep the story rolling in spite of them is a big goal of mine. For this page, I made an effort to work a little quicker, to be a little less precious about minor imperfections, and a little more aware of which parts of the process were slowing me down. I feel pretty good about it. It will still take some fine tuning, but I’m polishing my process, and prospects look good that I’ll be able to keep making further improvements to not only my art but also my consistency.
